Terms of Service

King of the Hill is a game at claimthethrone.lol. One throne. One king. You pay to dethrone whoever is sitting on it and take their place. The price starts at $1 and goes up by $1 every time the throne changes hands.

By using this site, including just watching the throne or paying to claim it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

All payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay to claim the throne, that payment is non-refundable. You knew what you were getting into.

The one exception: if two people pay at almost exactly the same time and only one of them can win (a race condition), the losing payment is automatically refunded by the system. If a refund is owed, Stripe processes it back to your original payment method. This is handled automatically. You don't need to ask.

There are no subscriptions. Every payment is a one-time charge.

When you claim the throne you can submit a king name, an optional message, and an optional URL. These are displayed publicly on the site.

Don't submit content that:

• Is hateful, harassing, or discriminatory
• Promotes illegal activity
• Infringes on someone else's copyright or trademark
• Contains malware or phishing links
• Is spam

Basically: don't be a jerk. We reserve the right to remove or hide any content that violates these rules, including blocking a listing from being displayed, without a refund.

We can remove, hide, or reject any king listing at our discretion. If your content is removed for violating these terms, you don't get your money back. Payments made for a legitimate claim before a removal decision remain in effect on the throne state (the next challenger still pays the next price); only the visibility of your listing may change.

This is a game built for fun. It's provided as-is, with no guarantees of uptime, availability, or anything else. We might have bugs. The site might go down. Don't rely on it for anything critical.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid in the 30 days before any claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
